And yes, California is its own country. 6th highest GDP in the world, rated w/ other countries, not states. I still think we should secede, but then of course we'd have all those failed states just to the East of us.

I say this all the time. It takes two to make a pregnancy. All the blame and humiliation is on on women, as if they all had Immaculate Conceptions. The plight of women who are denied access to abortion means that victims of rape will be forced to give birth and support their rapist's baby; they will bear the extraordinary expense of caring for a child with non life-sustainable birth defects; they will suffer due to the ideation that the life of a fetus is more important than the life of the mother in dangerous pregnancies, are all things that are being taken out of the hands of women by men. It never fails to stun me that this can be happening in today's America.
And you would get a week off every month (with pay) to deal with cramps and discomfort. Abortions would be legal, free, and followed by a gourmet cup of coffee.
