Me, thought that about you? Hm. I usually skip over Bernie stuff, like I said. It's hard to miss the Bro-ish stuff, though, with folks like Sam.

A real and important difference is that a lot of those people are dead, and some of their ideology died with them. Yes still lots of racist fucktards left out there, but not as many as there used to be. Of course my naïve azz thought that not enough of them were left to elect Drumpf.

I mentioned getting an assault rifle to Ms. O. She was not happy with that idea. She gave the go ahead if I so choose, but she doesn't like it. I decided to hold off a while. In six months, I really expect her to have a change of heart with all the escalation of the crazies' violent and eliminationist rhetoric over that time.

I noted in 2016 that every part of the working class with the exception of the white working class voted for Hillary, because healthcare costs were one of the biggest concerns they had.

I don't have a problem with Biden doing the policy schtick, because he is the President of everyone, and it's important for him to show all Americans he's working for them, but anyone running for elected office in 2022 better be screaming from the rooftops that the person on the other side with the R after their name is a monster.

It does matter that the number of Trump voters in CA is equal to the population of those nine states combined when the OP expresses surprise that CA residents were at the insurrection. That it's somehow not something that should be expected like participants from FL should be expected.

Simplistic maps, like the red/blue state map, provide limited information at best and misleading information at worst. It's poor information to base conclusions on which leads to poor conclusions.

I was in 8th or 9th grade when it was on and definitely had a bit of a crush on Jared. I also remember spending a lot of time trying to figure out the mostly-but-a-tiny-bit-not-British accent of the guy who ran the Centre.

"The Party seeks power entirely for its own sake, We are not interested in the good of others; we are interested solely in power. Not wealth or luxury or long life or happiness: only power, pure power... We are different from all the oligarchies of the past, in that we know what we are doing. All the others, even those who resembled ourselves, were cowards and hypocrites. The German Nazis and the Russian Communists came very close to us in their methods, but they never had the courage to recognize their own motives. They pretended, perhaps they even believed, that they had seized power unwillingly and for a limited time, and that just round the corner there lay a paradise where human beings would be free and equal. We are not like that. We know that no one ever seizes power with the intention of relinquishing it. Power is not a means; it is an end. One does not establish a dictatorship in order to safeguard a revolution; one makes the revolution in order to establish the dictatorship. The object of persecution is persecution. The object of torture is torture. The object of power is power."

from George Orwell's 1949 novel “1984"

Hillary won the popular vote. More people actually voted for her. The problem is they weren't spread out properly. I was proud to vote for her. She would've made a great president: a former FLOTUS, senator, Sec. of State. Fuck.

Trump wasn't the one that caused the FarQ base to live in a different reality. They already started doing so at least since Obama's time, if not earlier.

So Trump is not the cause, he's simply one of the many inevitable consequences, along with their coup attempts.

2.1 percent more people voted for her, big deal. She lost because she ran the worst political campaign that I've ever seen. She spent a frelling billion dollars and lost to a poo-throwing orangutan. How do you even DO that?
