The "silent majority" is the 90% who favor gun control. Or maybe it's the 80% who favor reproductive rights. Before opening his yapper, Kristol might want to take note of the fact that it's his party that's doing the silencing.

I'm currently reading America's Stolen Narrative: From Washington and Madison, to Nixon, Reagan and the Bushes, to Barack Obama by Robert Parry, an in-depth account of the truly evil actions of Nixon, Reagan, H.W. Bush, Kissinger, the Neocons, et al that have made the Rethuglican party what it is today. Seems to be very well researched and thoroughly documented. Highly recommended. <a href="https://org.salsalabs.com/o..." target="_blank">" rel="nofollow noopener" title="https://org.salsalabs.com/o/1868/t/12126/shop/sho...">https://org.salsalabs.com/o...

More from Robert Parry at: <a href="http://consortiumnews.com/" target="_blank">" rel="nofollow noopener" title="http://consortiumnews.com/">http://consortiumnews.com/</a>

Let us open our hymnals. "For years I've regarded his very existence as a monument to all the rancid genes and broken chromosomes that corrupt the possibilities of the American Dream; he was a foul caricature of himself, a man with no soul, no inner convictions, with the integrity of a hyena and the style of a poison toad... a man who finally, after 24 years of frenzied political effort, became the President of the United States... and all the dumb bastard can show us, after five years of total freedom to do anything he wants with all this power, is a shattered national economy, disastrous defeat... and a hand-picked staff... whose collective criminal record will blow the minds of high school American History students for the next 100 years." Thank you, Dr Thompson, I believe that sums it up.

Hmm...it's hard to pick which one of the Republican candidates is the biggest, slimiest crook. Can I Phone-A-Friend, Regis?

As Nixon's greatest fawning admirer (evii war dwarf Henry Kissinger) said, "The illegal we do immediately; the unconstitutional takes a bit longer." It is indeed hard to find that kind of inspired political courage these days.

Maybe Kristol's trying to start a wave of momentum for Shoot-Me State goobernor Jay Nixon, whose thoughtful and measured responses to the Ferguson shooting have thrilled racists everywhere. Party switching is all the rage these days.

Because, as Bill Maher said, not all Republicans are racists, but if you're a racist, you're probably a Republican.
