I thought they way over-played the android's "existentialism", the kid was annoying as fuck and Riker was supposed to be the heartthrob or whatever and just came off as a total douche. I don't think that's what they were shooting for but he wasn't half as cool as he thought he was.
Anyway, there were just enough things to sour the whole thing for me. A few cast changes would have made all the difference to me.
