He said he talked to a cop who said this was the best way to rob, no risk. I said you mean no risk besides everyone seeing their damn faces, and that only works for white robbers who are ignored and don't have the cops called on them for walking while black. When one of you racist fucks comes to my neighborhood and washes the "whites beware" graffiti off the MARTA pylons a block from my house then you can get upset over the cops being called on a group of shady-ass people menacing and taking advantage of a Subway employee. Haha, when I had my son I was completely clueless about diaper-wrapping or anything. I come from a small family with NO cousins. So the nurse had to show me how to do it -- and she was an Irishwoman. She TOTALLY literally said "babbie" haha!
I feel ya honey. I understand, but listen: I spend most of my time in a majority-black (I think it still is -- lots of gentrifying lately tho!) municipality, and after 20-odd years here I think it's fair to say that we have mostly dispensed with that mess. Except BBQ Betty; I don't know where that b***h came from. But here in the flats, it's: I acknowledge your human dignity & intrinsic worthiness, & vice versa. Of course there are a few holdouts of every race -- some Asians what don't like anybody, some black & white folks who can't get past their upbringing or bad life experiences. But mostly, even teenagers are mellow. Sure it's a little awkward sometimes, but in the end, we're all humans together & there's much more interesting things to be focussed on. Please don't let your (legitimate) fears keep you from just plain being real with each other. Like any wound, it will heal with care.
