An odd sidenote I've discovered is that there are apparent blackface/ minstrel elements among kachina art and performances (which I know a lot more about), including the use of watermelon. Kachina "clown" performers are generally noted for subtle and very clever parody. They also look creepy as hell. I did sketches based on them for an especially misbegotten project, and actually toned things down, but still got strong reactions.
I'm going to try to raise my kids that way... My generation was in a weird place where we didn't know what we did as kids could possibly come back to haunt us....
I read an article earlier today that said there were pictures of three (?) students in confederate uniforms pictured in the yearbook of that school as late as 2013! That's why they don't even have yearbooks anymore.
Oh, yeah, he was! I forgot that was him! He also made a pretty good crooked carnie, a decent inattentive dad (both minor Despicable Me parts) and, of course, Wander. Huh - we watch a lot of Disney stuff.
Yes, and the insane screaming about Northam being a demonic child-sacrificing monster like all Democrats (nothing I can quite put my finger on, but I seem to find a touch of hysterical political axe-grinding there) over his espousal of policies concerning babies that tragically aren't going to survive anyway, is characteristic of Trump supporters.So is not having a bloody clue what they are bloody talking about.
