It's good to see that Tucker Carlson ended up doing a lot of damage to the Republican Party. He also gave Vance the platform to make the most viral iteration of his "cat ladies" comment.
The Republicans started to actually believe their Fox News instead of just using it as a weapon.
NPR had Ian Ward (Politico) and Gil Duran (freelancer) on to talk about the New American Right on NPR's On Point radio show. They claim that the RW knew what they were doing when they picked Captain Guyliner to run with Trump and they don't believe Trump is displeased, and they don't truly think Jadey is a drag on the ticket, although he is not universally loved or liked by the RW. (Nick Fuentes and guys like him dislike Vance's "daughter of immigrants" wife and his mixed race children. They don't think either Trump or his pick are far enough to the right, but they'll do for now.) I'll have to listen to the whole show, but it sounds like the reporters think Trump is still a very dangerous tool of the christo-fascists in their unholy alliance with billionaire weirdos and white supremacists, and that, even if we knock down Trump, there will be others to take his place. Depressing.
I think what they're struggling with is actually cognitive dissonance. Vance is a thinly-veneered turd of a phony, posing as a cool-guy, but lacking 10 years of reality-tv propaganda to prop him up, and they can all see it. Something in the deep dark folds of their lizard-brains is making the connection that this jackass and their gold-plated wonder-god are cut from the same cloth, and that realization freaks them the fuck out and must be rejected at all costs, lest their dream-like fugue state dissolve in a poof of smoke and be replaced by the reality that they are suckers and losers who have been taken in by the most pathetic creature to ever walk the national political stage. Therefore, it must be Vance's fault.
I think you have hit the bullseye there. It's not much consolation, but it does appear that this is no new phenomenon on the political and social scene. "It must be Vance's fault." Back in Tudor times that attitude was everywhere in England. Bad shit had to be someone else's fault, and that someone had to be more than a bungler, or misguided; he had to be an ill-disposed person who was actively plotting against you. Kings were perfect and appointed by God, that was a given, just like gold plated wonder boy Trump, so if a king did something wrong or unjust, it had to be because some evil counsellor had dripped poison in his ears.
Vance better be ready to cop the blame for anything that goes amiss with Trump's perfect-by-definition plans for the future.
"A third House Republican ... argued that if Trump falls short to Vice President Harris in November, Trump’s vice presidential selection will be to blame."
Don-Old's MAGA brain trust have setup The Convicted Felon's very weak, weirdo excuse.
James Donald Bowman will forever be know as the man (?) who brought The PAB down.
"if Trump should have picked somebody like a woman or person of color, AKA somebody who might have brought something to the ticket. "
The problem is that all those possible choices are, hard to believe, equally weird and bad. When your only qualification is giving up your soul to the proven rapist, fraud and convicted felon Trump, you tend not to get serious, normal people.
Trump always makes things worse for Trump. He’s incapable of picking a VP who generates excitement for the ticket because HE wants to generate all the excitement. He’s too pitiful and weak to share the spotlight with anyone!
"I’m sure Susie Wiles and [Chris] LaCivita didn’t,” the senator said, referring to Trump’s two top campaign advisers. “Because they’ve done so well up until this point in being able to widen” Trump’s appeal as a candidate."
Excuse me Mr Graham, please show proof/citation of his advisors abilities. I don't think the response to Kamala would be what it is if TFG had a wider appeal as a candidate.
You know some weird happened I was searching Google for more Vance furniture sex stuff and this displayed "Lebensborn (literally: "Fount of Life") was a secret, SS-initiated, state-registered association in Nazi Germany with the stated goal of increasing the number of children born who met the Nazi standards of "racially pure" and "healthy" Aryans" Holy Shit! it's like the MAGA's are taking a page out of the Nazi playbook. Or am I the last guy to figure that out?

"...like a dog ravaging the couch cushions."
Don't you mean 'like a trog(lodite) *ravishing* the couch cushions'? And by ravishing, don't you mean humping the crevices like there's no tomorrow?
I'll take Mitt Romney for a hundred, Alex.

They’re so crusty
Crusty the Clown?

Yes.

They seem to be having a great time!
So by 'procreation', do you mean the continuation of the species, or just Sex-Drugs-&-Rock n Roll? There is a difference. Or maybe not.
One of the most deranged, sociopathic dudes in Twitter used to be the president and has 5 children (that we know of) with 3 different women, so...
These weirdos are so full of crap.
Were these two separated at birth??

The more JD Vance goes on and on about procreation, the more it convinces me he's actually gay.
The eyeliner doesn't help
He does give off a weird closety vibe, doesn't he?
Or any room big enough for a couch.
