Let's not forget that the $$$ necessary to pay for emergency assistance in this context comes from Blue state tax payers, NOT from those in the RED Red states.
To call this shit show as merely "convoluted" is a heinous insult to those who have suffered and WILL suffer in these terrifying, devastating events.
Also remember that while NC had a Dem in charge there are (were) a whole lot of GOP that had disaster strike them too. It’s that way in any blue state and the right wing hopefully won’t forget what Rump did. See also ACA.
