I've forgotten now how he got her out of Holland, but he did, to Denmark and then Sweden. Mid-30s before Kristallnacht, but her parents had gotten her out. It was Peter Freuchen, an Arctic explorer and author from Denmark. He had pull. I remembered that she was early, shall we say. Her family saw what was coming when most didn't. Ever read the Jewish newspaper editorial after Hitler took power about how now he'll restraint the worst Nazis, etc, etc?
