We have little bears in the yard! These two were a couple of the cutest I've ever seen. They scampered up the tree and started yelling for mama who was just inside the tree line. I had gone out on the deck to snap some pictures and startled them and up they went. Both of them looked down on me and heartily complained and whined and stuck their tongue out at me. They eventually came down and from then on they used the cabin yard as their playground. We have a rock that acts like the perfect sliding board and birdfeeders that have been used as soccer balls. I do love it up here.

The youth of many species

Engage in fun and play

They frolic in the forest

It helps them face the day.

As humans we do likewise

When we are fraught with care

It helps us with our mental health

When things get hard to bear.

When I was teaching I would put a poem up on the white board every Friday based on a current issue. It got to be easier as time passed.

I don't even follow sportsball, but I remember the year that the still-cursed Red Sox and the Cubs could have gotten to the World Series.

2016 - the year my grand dog Wrigley was born, and, yes, she was named for the Cubs' home field, because my SIL and his whole family love the Cubs. Coincidence?

It would have been great for Democrats to explain DEI months BEFORE the election. BEFORE Fox News turned DEI into a slur.

"How much should we impeach Trump?"

What's the fucking point?

We already DID that.

TWICE.

And just look how damn ineffective it has been at keeping him from completely fucking up our country, and indeed, world.

Yeah, we couldn't get it done with majorities in both chambers of congress. No way in hell, in the minority.

Huh. 🧐 So, we had to have a four-year meltdown from the GOP and waste scads of resources on allegations of the EEEVIL media covering up Hunter Biden's fucking computer, but here we have Mike Johnson basically openly saying his party actively censored ads by Democrats, and that's okay I guess for reasons. 🤔

Slotkin, Jesus, I knew she was bad news for seeing her ads during the campaign. Lady, you stumbled backwards into a Senate seat with fewer votes than Kamala Harris, and you’ve been in Congress for 20 minutes, STFU already with all your priceless advice. If Democrats had a majority, Slotkin would totally be our new Sinema.

The Oklahoma story honestly had me more concerned than anything so far.

They are using bounty hunters for this stuff and they probably are getting paid by the head. They have no actual oversight so then they just stole everything at gunpoint. There was literally no reason for them to take cash and electronics. They knew it was the wrong people.

And now they have zero recourse because the FBI and Federal Marshalls are denying any involvement.

This should be a much bigger story

That Liberal Currents piece on the non-apologies is spot on and someone should send it Senator Slotkin, maybe wrapped around a rock and thrown through her living room window. She can blow her Rolf whistle and see if the cops come.
