According to a Catholic seminary student I knew, the Holy Spirit was the female part of the Christian Trinity. But it varies: https://en.wikipedia.org/wi...

Back in the 80's, I used to go to a yearly gathering of women in Mendocino. A couple of times Luisah Teish, a well-known woman from Louisiana who practiced Yoruba, came to give us a chance to experience what the rituals are like. (I will happily join in on something like that if there's a legitimate person there to lead it, saying yeah, it's cool, come on.) It's religion that is very physical, very planted in the body, and very mystical. Lots of dance and song and rhythm, just as one would think. I can't imagine being a member and NOT having those intense experiences - it's kinda required. Very beautiful imagery, and Luisah's a powerful woman. I came close to getting swept away, but there was that little something that said, "Yeah, how about not?" Despite Luisah's assurances that neither she nor anyone else would condemn anything that happened, I was just a tad too shy to let go. But damn, I wanted to. There was some weird shit in there that really wanted to come out. Still wonderful to experience what your body does in those states, though.
