Being a vegan doesn't necessarily mean one is health-conscious. I live on french fries, Sour Patch Kids, and the sweet sustenance of righteousness indignation.

As the share of vaccinated people rises, more cases will be found in that population. This is especially true when there is robust surveillance testing.

I'm a good example: currently isolating after a positive PCR test. Double-vaxxed and boosted. Repeated rapid antigen tests are negative. I may have or had the virus, but at low levels that don't trigger symptoms or transmission (given that all close contacts are negative after 2 PCRs).

People in my situation are a rising share of cases, as vaccination rates rise. Vaccine prevents serious (or any) illness but not low viral loads.
