I like cheese... and I like her!

devourerofpancakes's avatar

I like her, I do. But she's a representative from Madison. Described by those outside of Madison as a bubble surrounded by reality (which chaps my ass). Her all state ground game will have to be off the hook to win. You can't talk about electability without talking about election interference.

A Republican bragged about keeping people from voting for Mandela Barnes. Nothing happened. Do you think the party (or state) would have rolled over if Barnes were white? I doubt it. I'm afraid the same will happen to Hong.

What a great article and very wise counsel!

OT: Because it's Friday and why should Hubby and our Kitties patiently suffer alone because of my current obsession with John Gay's "The Beggar's Opera" (1728):

My spouse and I went to see Threepenny Opera which is basically Beggar's opera but not nearly as good. Lesson learned- don't rely on the flyer blurb. Do your research before sinking money into a show.

Frank Talk, Action Pundit!'s avatar

I've made that comparison myownself. It's "The Beggar's Opera," hands down.

AI quote to question "how many sanctuary cities are there ?"

<There is no single official definition or central registry for "sanctuary cities," so estimates range between 200 and over 1,000 sanctuary jurisdictions across the U.S>

So Mr. McMullet NogginWayne thinks shutting down north of 200 cities is good for any reason ? . . .

That's ok, tourism is already down a bunch, this will just kill it dead. And who wants foreigners coming to America!?! Ick!

Don't inform TACO about this person he will sue her for 100 gazillion dollars for having her shoe lace untied and have the GOP drop $30 million to make the worst candidate possible to run against her.

ElderlyLoudCatWomyn's avatar

I see no problem with the GOP spending $30 million on terrible candidates that offend everyone before the candidate even says word one. That's $30 million the GOP won't be able to spend elsewhere, and terrible GOP candidates have an excellent losing record (truly trump is an aberration). I read a couple of articles about GOP pols complaining that the money spend on the TX primary could have been better spent elsewhere. I said to myself, 'how nice.'

Seriously, after Cornyn lost the TX primary, the Kalshi odds of Tallarico winning jumped. Still weren't 50%, but within shouting distance of 50.

Baconzgood's avatar

Allow me to look at this from a parallax.

Wouldn't that 30 million be better used to buy kids lunches?

How many summer homes does one need? The people plunking down the cash no politics already have more than need.

ElderlyLoudCatWomyn's avatar

Of course. But I fail to see a future where the RNC would pay for kids lunches.

Greg Bovino will speak at a white nationalist conference in Portugal tomorrow. He will share the stage with no fewer than five people who idolize Hitler, including one who joined a group created by two Nazi SS members. Another guy is a self-described racist who refers to women as "cockroaches."🧵

Disgraced former-CBP officer Greg Bovino sat for an interview this week with a blog in Europe that promotes white supremacy and he provided insights on how he came up his claim that 100 million "illegal" migrants are in the U.S. It's vibes. It's a number Bovino created based on his feelings. 1/4

In his interview with a white supremacist blog, disgraced former-CBP officer Greg Bovino also said he supports the neo-Nazi AfD party in Germany. 2/3

ElderlyLoudCatWomyn's avatar

Huh. Is Bovino running for some sort of office? Does he see himself as a self-styled racist leader in the USA? I'm really asking because I don't see why he is out there advertising his racist ass.

"...summed up with the dismissive slogan “Wisconsin isn’t New York City.”

Why does that only work in one direction? Why can't I say " Massachusetts isn't Texas" and not have some corporate media drone getting the vapors and saying " Oh, you CAIN'T say that about Heartland Amurkins"?
