The Lincoln Project has run ads in Iowa too. I live across the border and we share a media market with part of Iowa.

Saw this pic once before. The caption was, "The first time you meet your adoptive parents in a Tim Burton movie."

I saw a twitter thread about narcissists. They create this persona that's little more than a shell, and they're just really good at hypnotizing (his word) people into believing that shell is the real thing. If something happens that throws someone out of that hypnotic bubble, the scales fall away from their eyes.

The good news? Once thrown out of the bubble, a person can't be pulled back in.

The bad news? What throws people out of the bubble isn't cumulative. It's a single thing that is just too much for them, so we can't depend on the ongoing horror to finally become too much for them.

Did everyone see the articles about nonmask-wearing people during the influenza. They were just being jerks, the same way.
