Wingnut Magazine Smartly Asks: Is Liberal Blog Obama's Watergate?

The Watergate burglary that brought down the deeply evil Richard Nixon is one of those things conservatives don't really enjoy talking about, too much -- unless the reference can somehow be used to suggest aDemocratpresident is about to resign in shame, leaving some hapless party hack like Gerald Ford or Joe Biden to basically continue the administration's business. So what is exactly like the insane burglary of the opposition party's Washington headquarters that was masterminded by the actual president and his top advisers? Oh, let's see, how about the existence of a blog that collects racist wingnut ravings that are broadcast by Fox News and Rush Limbaugh?

The American Spectator blog bravely follows up on Tucker Carlson's blog post about the Media Matters blog being a liberal blog:

There is one very disturbing, very serious precedent that provides a direct link between the Obama White House and its Media Matters buddies -- and the famous Watergate scandal that brought down the Nixon presidency.

Media Matters, we learn, is having weekly strategy calls with the White House, they meet with Obama aide Jarrett and ex-aide Dunn, who returned to the White House for the meeting after she departed. Anita Dunn also "became a regular presence" in the Media Matters offices, the then-president of Media Matters "lunched with her, met with her and chatted with her frequently on any number of occasions."

Leaders of the Democrats' political party talking to Democrat strategy groups! Well thatispretty bad, but how do we get that to equal Watergate? Right here, apparently:

"We should hire private investigators to look into the personal lives of Fox News anchors, hosts, reporters, prominent contributors, senior network and corporate staff."

Someone at Media Matters, Karl Frisch, apparently said this. And finally, we can get rid of Barack Obama, through impeachment! Because a blog devoted to exposing the deranged broadcasted ravings of Fox News and right-wing talk radio employs someone who believes investigations of the Fox News people would result in more salacious hypocritical filth than Fox News' personalities already provide in terms of sexual harassment lawsuits, loofa and falafal fun, etc. Enjoy walking the beach in San Clemente with a metal detector, Obama!
