I date the beginning of the 1970s from Nixon's resignation. Similarly, the sixties did not start in January 1960. They really started in 1965: Watts riots, escalation in Vietnam.

that's the difference between the old school truckers and the new breed of wannabes. The latter took a quickie truck driving school class and kinda sorta learned to three point and back up and call themselves truckers. I work with pros who can squeeze a fifty footer backwards into a dock with less than six inches clearance on either side. I also drive lots of straight trucks and can definitely see the difference with the newbies- often husband/wife teams who are lucky if they can keep it in their lane when there's a cross wind and don't have a clue about road courtesy

Actually, quarters in 1964 were 90% silver, and right this minute the .9042 troy ounces of silver in five of them is worth $19.71.

But in principle, the guy is right about the minimum wage not keeping up with inflation. This is a suspiciously Democratic talking point.
