Happy Veterans Day / Armistice Day / Kurt Vonnegut's birthday! Perhaps you have the day off of your "work," and are using your free time to trawl your Wonkette.
I'll bet the grifter vets wear fatigues and hold up signs,I seen one of them he stood in traffic what long enough to get change for a bottle of mad dog and a pack of smokes then went straight to the state store saying semper fi, I is going to get high
and a special thanks to the patron saint of conservatism, Ronald Reagan, for destroying the mental health system and pulling the rug out from under all those returning vets with mental health issues, thereby condemning them to the streets
Veteran's Day - I was asked to play at an observance yesterday. Played, The Green Fields of France, Christmas in the Trenches, and Let Them In. I got almost as many scowls for the first two as I received thanks. "Whaddya mean on both ends of the rifle we're the same?!". Welp, I guess that takes care of next year's invitation.
Your compassion it's truly touching. Rest assured, if you ever have your face blown off, or arms and legs amputated, or brains fried from an IED explosion, and end up down on your luck and homeless, begging for mercy on a street corner somewhere, I'll remember your words.
He claims to be a trial lawyer, so he can't be a Republican.
at least they won't die of thirst

Happily, I haven't been close enough.
It appears he got his JD in '94, so it's a pretty safe bet he didn't see any combat after that.
And the Straights! Won't someone PLEASE think of the Heterosexuals!
we'll be too busy with the continuing War on the Poor.

Thank you for your service. Isn't that a sufficient show of gratitude?
Ah, but what did he raise the hamsters for?
Is that a MIDNIGHT taker, who gets his lovin'/handouts on the run?
No, just ignore them. Bad-mouth them a bit, if you're in a jolly mood.
[laugh track]
(cuz that's all the asshole will get)
Especially hamsters.

Dear Kurt,
Your compassion it's truly touching. Rest assured, if you ever have your face blown off, or arms and legs amputated, or brains fried from an IED explosion, and end up down on your luck and homeless, begging for mercy on a street corner somewhere, I'll remember your words.
