Once you've gone Royal Saudi, you'll always be bawdy.

I've driven past the now-former Solyndra campus many times. The management took the Federally-guaranteed loans and spent money as if they were already Microsoft. Global PV manufacturers lowered their prices because of economies of scale and global competition, which didn't include Solyndra.

Don't misunderstand -- I'm fine with the government guaranteeing loans to foster new business development. This particular one was too big.

They didn't forget, they're for it. They're against fast track. Fast track leaves them no way to screw us more.

PV producers had captured the economies of scale years earlier but operated as a cartel to keep prices high. What induced them to finally lower prices if not the treat posed by the Solyndra technology?
