Responsibility? Them's fighting words round the reich wing corral. Responsibility is what those people are to be excoriated for lacking - not something that overgrown adolescents like Pool should ever have to accept.

I always enjoyed Lois Lane more than Anna Karenina, myself.

Well duhh of course Tim Poole, awesome young stud with original headgear, knows better than the creator of Squid Games what system the show targeted. He's a white guy with 1 million YouTube followers and the creator of the show is just some Korean guy who got a Netflix deal.

I just think back to comic shop guy (may he rest in peace) I grew up with that figured out he could make a lot more money by encouraging people to like what they liked.

Really sad that was a rarity for a lot of people.

I read those when they were new and Daredevil before him was silly and boring, on the verge of cancellation. He made it exciting to read. The film and the TV series (and even Rex Smith as Daredevil) are all styled on his version of the character. It even made Kingpin a much more important villain than he had been with only Spider-Man. But that was 40 years ago too.

As an anthropology nerd I have a hard time imagining a tribe of not-quite-modern humans hunting, raising children, standing watch, preparing food, and the like if they possessed the values that this runt has.

The first time someone displayed paleolibertarianism he would have been turned into gator bait.

Being helpful and productive members of the tribe is in our genes (but not in simple and reliable expressions!).

There were two big rapid increases in brain size in our ancestors from about 1,000,000 years ago to maybe 200,000 YA. The first coincided with a running pack strategy - a small band of (usually) male hunters holding sharp sticks running selected prey down over several hours.

Women learned to forage and bring back food in nets or skins. Both of these strategies require cooperation and were necessary for advancement to modern humanity.

Why? The brain uses around 20% of our calories while massing only about 2% of the body.

There was a comic book company called golden key that use to only put out the same ten or so stories over and over. They figured that they only had kids attentions for 2 years so why bother doing anything different. Like you got into their characters at 10 or 12 and 2 years later you'd move onto things like baseball or teenage boy things.

To each their own.

Frank Miller ruined Daredevil and was trite about it. Still annoyed about it.
