I hung a "no candy" sign this year. There are usually only a handful of kids around here. On the other hand the schools, the Y and the churches all have events. considering the odds of getting at least drizzled on tonight, a much better choice.

I suppose this is just my ignorance, but it was all about Hillary's "server", but this is about Weiner's laptop? One presumes that they should have been looking at his ISP's servers - I can't imagine that a laptop would act as a server.

Before I even finished the sentence about the proposed Haunted House in Chicago that would have dead children and dead gays, I knew it would be sponsored by evangelical christianistas.

Sorry, didn't listen to the podcast - and while I have a smidgen more respect for Harry Enten's analysis ( than that "reported" on TV "news" ), I still can't help but feel that "2%" is a SWAG pulled out of thin air. I regularly complain that people don't really understand "large numbers", and "2%' sounds like a similar misunderstanding about "small numbers".

It can't be that difficult to track down a truck delivering a large pile of manure. How many people in Warren County, Ohio have access to that much manure? Don't they have bloodhounds in Cincinnati? The dogs I know are very, very good at tracking down manure.

I've got over 42,000 in my Gmail inbox, and I know for a FACT that some of them are from Hillary... should I put on a pot of coffee and wait for him to show up?

Huh. If you follow linkages there, you might end up here:

An analysis of early voting changes in NC counties. Most striking result from this analysis: NC's average statewide white:black ratio is 2.7. In counties where the ratio is higher (more white), more days/sites. In counties where the ratio is lower, fewer days/sites. The correlation seems pretty strong. I hope someone takes that analysis to a court, because it's both depressing and a massive indictment of the continuing racism in our lovely state.

I kinda doubt anyone drove 500 miles with a truck load of manure. Someone would have noticed. Also, truck loads of manure have a fairly high rate of accidental spillage, which I have now learned is illegal in Ohio (what amazing things I am motivated to research after reading Wonkette articles!!).

"Ohio law prohibits the placement of any earth, mud, manure or other injurious materials on a public highway."http://aglaw.osu.edu/blog-c...
