I can't imagine what would posses anyone to donate to Trump's campaign. Unless the only other option was to just light their money on fire. Even then I'd really have to think long and hard about it.
I think that a part of the party may try to do that. Another part, though, is onboard with Trumpism (he was able to get himself nominated; he's got some sort of backing). If the acrimony becomes great enough, possibly Trump will insist that his supporters not vote down-ticket (while Cruz and company are piously proclaiming "vote your conscience, up and down the ticket").
Coat-tailing is a thing, in American electoral politics. If Sec'y Clinton brings out her voters, then there's a fair chance of a wave election.
But this is a weird election, so ... it's possible that the GOP could preserve some of its off-year electoral wins in a presidential year. It's a year for breaking precedents, clearly.
Tomorrow he's in Maine- but not up in Redneckistan (Maine's 2nd District). He's in Portland, which resembles that other Portland politically. Look for lots of "outside agitators" confronting rural Trumpkins, with a good chance of stupid shit done/said/making the news.
Noted sociopath and WSJ columnist Bret Stephens concluded his Tuesday piece, after saying how much he hated Hillary, with "At least Hillary isn't a sociopath"
Suddenly Vancouver doesn't feel quite as safe any more. Only 120 miles from Seattle... :<Also, too, Brexit now seems like a waste of time and effort....
I'm starting to think that absolutely nobody in Drumpf's entourage wants to go anywhere -- they'd rather stay at home and wait for this whole election to blow over -- but they keep getting asked to go out on the news and vomit forth stupid, and they keep agreeing because...

Aaaand that's where the whole theory falls apart. WHY THE FUCK DO THEY KEEP AGREEING?

So many fucked up unbeilevable stories, however does the Wonkette pick which ones make it to full blown post, also, too!
I have to wonder how this election will affect first-time voters. Presidential elections get weird, but this one has blown the curve.
The Khans response, the sexual harrassment response, and the baby-shaming all sound bad....but at least Trump didn't use the wrong email.
OVER MY DEAD BODY!!!11!!!

End times. That's all I can think.

Charlie Pierce refers to all his campaign coverage as "Today in Where the Hell Have the Rails Gone?"Which is a pretty applicable description.

You could call it for what it is, "Malignant Growth". But folks might get confused as to which one you were referencing.
