Yeah, I have a friend who got pregnant at age 44 when she thought she was perimenopausal (surprise). She and her husband had two sons in college. She had an abortion - can you imagine being forced to take a high risk, unplanned pregnancy to term and being told that adoption is your only choice? For most of nine months you walk around your community not as a person but as some kind of non-person vessel.
it's true. Maron & Seder were great. But I would quibble with your Randi Rhodes characterization -- I still listen to her via You Tube, and she's pretty solid, though can irritate me after an hour. Mike Malloy is a creep.
and after all - change the station to what? I really miss lefty radio. I pay good money for my Stephanie Miller podcast, but radio in and of itself - on the actual airwaves - can be great. Alas in these days of media conglomeration I doubt anything like AA will happen again in my lifetime.
