So we all know who Alina Habba is right? That TFG lawyer who sorta looks like Malania and is always on his plane whenever Malania isn't? AKGA (Always Keep Grifter Airborne) is a neat hat slogan, innit?

She just said on Fox that "Donald Trump is the most ethical American I've ever met" and of course was not challenged on that statement at all. But jeezus, if that is true, what circles is she travelling in then?!

Definitely says more about her than TFG.

Right? I was hoping someone else picked up on that. I guess they don't teach Ethics at Widener University Commonwealth Law School, whatever the fuck that is.

Well, I mean, if you're traveling in the newest, lowest circle of hell created just for you, tfg, and all associated, then maybe you're gonna get that.

CNN is doing a piece about how terrible it is for the Russians who were affected by the drone attack last night

So far NO DISCUSSION as to the fact that Russia has been doing this for the last 13 months.

I honestly dont give a fuck that a few Russians had their building attacked

I am grateful that I don't have to rely on public transportation to get where I need to go all of the time.

A few of our city's transit buses are currently out of service secondary to being infested by bedbugs.

Open house is going on now. Looks like interest is high. The idea that people are walking around the house I've lived in for the last 20 years poking around is disconcerting. I've put so much work in it and it's so hard to predict what will happen in the next week I'm just a ball of exhausted nervous energy. Slept in the lab last night, which was fine once the A/C properly kicked in. Slept from 11 to 8:30, actually, so I feel pretty good if a bit scuzzy since I didn't bring toiletries.

Open house ends in an hour. I'm gonna head up to Newburyport for a coffee and wander and by that time the open house will be over and I can go home and shower.

If you'd like to help, we can always use your psychic powers so close your eyes, rub your temples, go "gnnñññ" and think "Big bids for Scipio!". 🤞

Yep, best to be somewhere else during that.

*Whispers at dice in hand* Big bids! Scipio needs a new pair of shoes. But not pants!

I think it's best practice for the sellers to not be there. It's hard to separate emotions, but also really easy to say something stupid that could affect the sale.

Expand full comment
Whale Chowder's avatar

The practice is *not* observed here in Spain. We had several viewings of flats where the owner followed us around and tried to sell us on its features. Annoying and off-putting.

I didn't want to be there when we sold our house. Being half a world away made it easy.

"You shouldn't prosecute people on process crimes like obstructing justice. Trump should be pardoned since there was no underlying crime (other than stealing military secrets, inciting an insurrection, treason, defrauding the United States, pressuring state officials, paying off a porn star with campaign funds, etc...)"

~Vivek Ramaswamy

Sure, that's why Republicans impeached Clinton for lying about getting a BJ when they were investigating Whitewater, and wanted to try him after he left office. Stealing military secrets and getting an extramarital BJ and lying about it are very similar things.

Russell Jones's avatar

lol "Process crimes." I look forward to your proposal for removing perjury and obstruction of justice from the federal criminal code there, chief.

This is hilarious. With one or two exceptions, the GOP POTUS clown car is just sitting back waiting for PAB to implode. 2016, anyone?

Vagenda and Peeara's avatar

Yeah, I'm pretty sure trying to get your pool boy to flood the storage area where you're storing stolen military secrets is still a crime in America.

He wants America to "move on." Yeah, there's just that small part where the MAJORITY of us aren't going to "move on" until Trump is held accountable for his crimes.

I don’t know who this Vivek person is, other than a liar and a bad faith bullshit artist. Now, I do agree that some crimes, by themselves should not result in prosecution. Resisting arrest, for example. When perusing the local daily arrests section of the newspaper (web site. Not sure that print versions even exist anymore) and I see resisting arrest as someone’s only offense, I know the cops were just mad that someone they were hassling didn’t have any drugs on them.

(Me): No but the crew was taking about tacos.

(Shift Commander): Or we could go eat BBQ and you can buy because you're on OT and getting acting Chief pay.

(Me): Only if you come with me and do in-service training on traction drive elevators at 1300.

(Shift Commander): And why would I do that?

(Me): Because you always suck at elevator ops and it would be good for you to get off your ass, hike some stairs, and learn some stuff.

(Shift Commander): I'm ordering the three meat plate. See you at 1130.

(Me): Bring your appetite. And wear comfy shoes with steel toes.
