'Well, we're back in the car again. At least we're out of the tree.'

(I suspect I'm a bit behind.)

𝐓𝐑𝐈𝐕𝐈𝐀:

Steven Spielberg was in the very early stages of pre-production for a medical movie (based on a Michael Crichton novel) when he heard about the "Jurassic Park" book. He subsequently dumped what he was doing to make this movie. Afterwards, he returned to that script and helped develop it into what successful TV series?

ER.

er...

CORRECT!

ER.

Because Crichton was a doctor.

Fairly reasonable reaction from Dr. Sattler.

One time I watched Jurassic Park and Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf back to back. Quite an experience. Don’t recommend.

Don’t know if anyone else has mentioned this, but the kid that was the granddaughter in JP is the same kid that was always on the pogo stick in Tremors. And, I think, the kid that was the grandson in JP is the actor that portrayed Eugene Sledge in The Pacific miniseries

Kid on the pogo stick in Tremors got eaten right? Well he should have! Hell, he should have gotten eaten in this movie!

John_atx's avatar

No, the pogo stick kid was the daughter of the woman that was the potter. Never could figure out who the obnoxious boy was related to. As far as I can remember, the victims of the worm things were the man up on the utility tower, the sheep herder, the two road workers, the retired couple and poor Walter, the owner of the general store

ManchuCandidate's avatar

No she didn't.

John_atx's avatar

I think those were the only two roles that the actress performed. If my memory serves correct, I think she pursued a career as an artist

Anna-Elizabeth's avatar

oh wow, the Sledgehammer!

John_atx's avatar

I am pretty sure that it is correct. He also played the role of the snake-handling preacher in Justified

As a lawyer, I always loved the “fuck the lawyers” attitude of this movie.

Lawyers gotta have a sense of humor about being lawyers.

ManchuCandidate's avatar

I come from a family of lawyers whose children mostly became engineers.

I didn't get how handy lawyers are till mom and dad had legal issues with the neighbors so at least your profession has moved up in my eyes from "Fuck the lawyers" to "Necessary evil."

ciaobella's avatar

Everyone hates lawyers. Until you NEED one. It’s an understandable sentiment.
