So GB steadily withdrew it's support, right as the rest of the world began to criticize Rhodesia consistently, and black liberation movements gained an international voice. On paper, Rhodesia never lost an engagement, and they committed every war crime in the book to do so, but no matter how many black africans they killed, it didn't matter, because they were outnumbered and the entire region was against them, and the entire world condemned them. Eventually, the white rhodesians ran out of bullets, and poison, and anthrax, and the country is now Zimbabwe.
The world is condemning Israel, and US public opinion has shifted against it as well. Once the pedophile is dead, US policy will begin to follow suit. Rhodesia fought for 15 years, and then, quite suddenly, it was gone. I think Israel really only has 10-15 years left, depending on how far along we are in this process.
I think it's more likely Israel will be forced to return to the 1967 border. But it will take 30 years and it will be China flexing its global power that will do it as much as the withdrawal of American protection and European support. Climate disasters will also play a role, water wars and migration out of areas in the region that are already marginal for agriculture.

Tonight's edition of A Jet Age Sound celebrated my birthday (it's Monday) and beloved Meccalopolis's retirement. I curated the show. Meccalopolis manned the turntables. We had an extra hour because our dear friend and fellow DJ Paul had to go be a wedding guest (he was DJ at our wedding). The show was total madness and altogether sane. So the Ne York Post ran a major BREAKING NEWS event about Mamdani. Apparently it's some kind of felony now to have fun?
Oh my god, he jumped into a public pool at an event, and he was wearing a suit! It was a press event to announce the opening of public pools, and Mamdani cannonballed into the pool with a bunch of kids WHILE SMILING. That monster!
In my rather quick and dirty research on my foot and leg, I have learned A Thing. Well, a few things.
The condition I actually have is frequently misdiagnosed as an infection, since it looks on the outside like a typical infection. What makes that misdiagnosis worse is that if doctors try to treat it as an infection, the patient gets flooded with antibiotics in the hospital and has plenty of bed rest--which combined makes it look like the obvious swelling goes down and other symptoms appear to go away. Except...once the patient is discharged and begins walking and other activities, the symptoms return.
Which explains my last two hospital stays.
Unfortunately, that means that the antibiotics were pointless. And I suppose although it didn't hurt anything, the four and a half months I spent in an offloading shoe did nothing. It's one of the first-line treatments, but if offloading doesn't help, then more aggressive treatments need to be considered. And those more aggressive treatments are what I have to go in and discuss next Monday.
I just want to be done with all this. Just...let me doctor figure out how much they need to remove and let's go. I know full well I'm going to be in some kind of physical therapy for a while, but I'm ready to just get it over with.
A question I am amusing myself with tonight: Will Medicaid allow me to select colors or designs for any equipment I will need? Because if I have to get used to a wheelchair, I want that thing in orange.
The hospital wouldn't give you antibiotics unless your white blood count and other blood results indicated you needed it. They don't just hand them out anymore.
GP is different as they don't have immediate access to blood tests results so more likely to give out antibiotics to be on the safe side.
Hey--I don't have one...yet. But I have promised myself that if I end up needing any kind of equipment, I'm going to rock that shit like I rock my cane with the silver-metal skull top.
Maybe you'll get one like mine, with lights that don't work, because why design two chairs, when you can just design one and not wiring in the ones that don't deserve it.
