I'm wondering what it will be like crossing the Mississippi..... Have they figured out how far into the river state jurisdictions reach? What about ever-shifting islands? Might there be "Abortion Boats" in the river?
Sorry. I'm a little grumpy. Just found and fixed my refrigerator leak; the nut on the water valve for the ice machine had worked loose. Some new teflon tape and a good tightening after a thorough clean up under the fridge and everything but my back is working great.
I feel as if I've known Ren for years and have just only accepted that he's gone.
Maybe it's because I live within a half an hour of Couer d' Alene, Idaho and so much of the far-Reich attitude of that area that this story reads as all too terrifyingly familiar.
My family lived in Coeur d'alene at the turn of the 1900's and my great-grandmother was born there - to a Scotsman from Ohio and a Lebanese woman who came to the US via France. If you ever read the census from either 1900 or 1910, it looked like the UN. So, now it's far-Reich. That sucks.
I know, right? But his reasoning is solid. I just moved to northwest Georgia last fall (and I love it! The people and the food are absolutely wonderful, and it's a lot more progressive here than I had feared. A lot more progressive!) and they are entirely correct about all the back roads. Not to mention rivers to cross and forests to hide in. They just might have a fighting chance. I'm heartbroken that Ren won't be able to join them, though.
I'm seeing the correlation between Bill's explanation of how a record player works ("It starts small, riding those tiny bumps, making a tiny current, but by the end, when it’s amplified, its effect is huge") and not only Lorinda's situation but trying to overcome the CCSA system as a whole.
I'm so eager to find out what happens next.
Oklahoma strip, Georgia. I assume an airplane is out of the question?
Like the Soviets, I'm guessing the CCSA has invested heavily into air defense.
I don't want to use paypal...

Start the damned trial!

Think positive!
✅ Clean behind the refrigerator.

It's such a beautiful area. It breaks my heart that so many of its' current occupants are fucking UGLY through and through.
The Great Man has entered the courthouse, complaining about "the Biden trials."
Fart on, McGasbag.
Cry harder, loser.
"I think the best way out is Georgia.”
Not what I would have expected ...

See? I can understand nuance, lol! 🤓
