As some of you may or may not know, I am deeply obsessed with the Romanov impostors and have been for years. Impostors in general, but mostly them — largely because I like how some of them recognized each other and others were like "Oh no, that is definitely not Tatiana! She's a big faker! This other lady is Tatiana!" about things. What I really like best, however, are the people who were dead convinced their relatives were Romanovs and dedicated so much of their lives to proving this point. I have a book by a guy who swore his Grandpa was Alexei, and it just goes into so much detail and presents so much evidence that you might think it was really true if you didn't know they found the real Alexei's bones in 2007.
