Unfortunately on the airline one "weather" is the one weird trick they're allowed to pull. Last month I had a flight cancelled and I was automatically rebooked on a different flight via a different airport that got me to my destination 5 hours later than I originally planned to be there. My compensation: sweet fuck-all, because it was "weather-related." There wasn't any bad weather anywhere on the Eastern Seaboard but tough noogies for me, apparently. They wouldn't even pay for my damn lunch.
