This guy.Jesus,this guy. Republican Bruce Rauner, who has more money than God and a better wine collection too, wants to be the next dude to get evicted from the Illinois governor's mansion and sent to prison. (That's what happens to all of them, right?)
my folks are up on the north shore (rauner's home town in fact). every fucking yard sign is for him.
i sincerely hope i'm being all peggy noonan (misreading yard sign tea leaves) but i think he's got a good shot (if you aren't in IL now, the polls are a dead heat).
course, a work colleague says all the yard signs in his town (oak park) are for quinn.
1. most of the other govs likely to lose will be repubs. and there might be some pretty sweet defenestrations along the way (brownback would be my personal favorite)
2. bruce rauner may end up governor, but he's a political neophyte and mike madigan is king of IL. he won't have anything like a scott walker / ric scott legislature to do his bidding.
