Woah. I just looked them up, because our stupid religious health insurance won't cover some things. Just DANG. Like, I had no idea that WHICH PHARMACY you buy from can change the RETAIL price of a drug by thousands of dollars a year, and the discount price by hundreds. WTAF. Just.... wow. Wow. Thank you.
If these "moderates" took a few seconds to look at the most popular legislation ever passed in congress, they would quickly see that virtually all of it falls into the category of "progressive". Being a "moderate" is just a cover for being bought and paid for by corporate interests, IMO.
Hmm, could it be that the owners and managers and higher-ranking employees of the media--"mainstream" as well as reactionary--are rich, or at least affluent? And if they told the truth about what bandits our corporate elites are, an angry populace might sweep the Left (or what passes for a Left in the USA) into power? And then the affluent-or-richer individuals, and corporations, of the USA might end up paying more taxes--including the affluent-or-richer individuals who work for media corporations, and also the media corporations as institutions? Plus, the non-media corporations would be left with less money to advertise in the media, which would hurt the bottom line of the media corporations?
Or am I just a nasty, suspicious, subversive, doubleplusungood loafer?
...did you read Robyn's article at all? "...another, smaller group of centrist Democrats sent their own letter to congressional leadership this year saying they wouldn't vote for any health care related measure..."
Nowhere did Robyn say that the second group of moderate Dems was responding directly to the first group. She's comparing and contrasting the stated goals of two different groups of representatives in the same party, and noted that both declarations of intent are recent by noting that both were made this year.
That photo cracked me up. How many side hustles does one pharmacy need? Urine sample, blood samples, stethoscope, EKG, an empty syringe for who knows what ...
The binder isn't automatically a bad thing. It could contain business SOPs that are unrelated to drug information or a collection of compounding instructions for the homemade stuff.
Negotiate means reaching an agreement that is acceptable with both parties. If a drug company thinks that a price Medicare is trying to set does not provide enough profit for research, development, and other costs, they can refuse to accept that offer. No company can be forced to sell products below their legitimate cost because they will go broke. But if they refuse, they may have to answer some difficult questions, like how much advertising and physician promotions their price covers.

OK, at this point both of you are just shit-talking each other, so I'm deleting the rest of the subthread and referring you both to the rules.

Yeah, but he had Jane Fonda for a while.
The stethoscope is for listening to the beating heart of the pharmacy.
And why do our media suck?

Publicly funded campaigns sure would be nice.
Yeah, and he only entered sailing races.
I mean, I would even allow for his picture on every lunch tray! Even maybe, the Amazon logo.
Rumor has it that he had a daughter, but she is so humble she does not mention him.
I know some eagles who might think that’d be an excellent way to prepare lunch for the kids.
Possibly out of our kids for their kids…
