Semi-related, while it isn't as bad here yet, freedom activists in Hong Kong have stopped using their cellphones and especially smartphones as the Chinese goverment can track them all.

So they have taken to living in seperate cells and communicating with each other ONLY when necessary, often with hand-written messages.

Also, they are using an old technology that can't be tracked as easily - walkie-talkies!And they know what many Americans still don't get - they are literally fighting for their lives.

When lawsuits are won against police officers the community pays. That's taxpayer money. Only when individual police officers are held personally responsible for their acts will their egregious behavior stop.

How long did it take to "investigate" who leaked the untrue police report about Commissioner Hardesty? 3/4 of a year. And the cop behind it is still pulling in his salary despite being "on administrative leave" since last May.
