I live in Ridgecrest CA , location of 6.4 and 7.1 last summer., We have dozens of little ones all the time with a noticeable 3+ a couple times a week. After 55 years and 38 hurricanes in FL in my earlier life, I'll take the earthquakes happily. Of course I live in a one-story town .

If we're going to get pedantic about this, he was assassinated for things he could only have done as a general- whether the US is actually at war with Iran or not. His control over special forces in Iran is a role normally given to generals. The operations he ordered were ordered in that capacity.
As yet, no details of why he was assassinated have actually been issued, besides very vague allusions to something terrible he was definitely on the cusp of doing. Obviously, generals never do terrible things.
