To me it seems as if outfits like Blackwater were cousins of the Pinkertons, except they rented themselves out to the Defense Department and committed their atrocities outside of the country.

I joined a class action against an employer for wage theft in 1978 when I was 16, by the time I got the check I was living in NY and old enough to drink it away with some friends in a night.

Still can't find out the specific address where Frick "The PRICK" was shot....

I digress....sorry.

Obviously you can see its a subject I am familiar with.

Not with my lifestyle, I'm sure I will drown in a boating accident, be crushed by a tractor, or eaten by wolves long before I need assisted living.

Someone should do a deep dive into the Hershey "non-profit" that produces fat stacks of profits but spends very little on education.

The company should sweeten the deal. The workers won't be satisfied if the company just tries to sugarcoat their offer.

Pinkertons! *spit*. They're still around, still anti-union. Now they work for Amazon. And Google, Apple, and Facebook.

I could definitely see one or more of your "militias" following in their footsteps. Heck, with the state of American history teaching, they'll probably think it's a new thing to do.

Activation Blizzard hired WilmerHale, notorious anti-labor law firm, to help them prevent the workers unionising in the face of the companies frankly abominable response to the California hostile work environment suite.

WilmerHale’s labor and employment team guides clients through the ever-changing web of local, state, national and international employment laws and regulations. We are consistently recognized for our practical perspective and preventative approach, which helps clients minimize liability so they can stay focused on their business objectives. Our practice spans four broad areas: general counseling; drafting of policies and contracts; employment law and performance management training; and litigation and alternative dispute resolution. We offer all levels of service for businesses of any size. Our accomplished attorneys provide day-to-day counseling and handle employment law claims in courts and administrative agencies across the United States, while our Human Resources Services Group—made up of skilled non-lawyer consultants—offers a range of cost-effective human resource business solutions for small and mid-sized companies often in tandem with our attorneys’ legal guidance.Minimize liability, emphasis mine, means reduce payroll, and prevent unions.
