Those Trump Steaks won't eat themselves There's some really terrific news coming out of Donald Trump's latest filings with the Federal Elections Commission. Oh sure, his campaign doesn't have much cash. But this campaign has been GREAT for companies owned by Donald Trump
I doubt much would happen. The mechanics of primaries/caucuses are determined at the state level. State legislatures have generally deferred to the parties as to who can participate.
The early and mid-term states relish their days in the limelight. I don't believe that Federal legislation to regulate primaries/caucuses has any real chance of happening.
POSSIBLY, the parties will review how they operate. I wouldn't be entirely surprised if the Republicans adopted something like superdelegates. For all of the abuse the concept now gets among Democrats, the basic idea was to provide a firewall against insanity (or runaway populism, if you prefer). So far, on the Dem side, the supers have never had to act counter to the popular vote, but the Repos might be wishing they had the option.
Trump doesn't want to win. He's following in that bold Republican of running for president and losing only to milk the gravy train for years afterwards. Right Quitter, Bachman, Huckabee, Santorum, Gingrich, Cain
You know, I actually think that Trump may not have that bad an effect on down-market races. I think people might reject Trump, "but my guy is okay" and just reelect their GOP incumbent or another Gooper. They know Trump can't win, but they can by God get a Republican legislative branch!
I think Trump is going to find some well of cash somewhere. Some big Republican donor is going to step in, and Trump will be all, "You'll have a seat at the table," which will be a lie, and then he'll siphon off the cash for himself and the RNC will muddle through somehow. "Trump wants more money." ". . . how much?"
Jeez, I was just up at the top of Notre Dame last week. You'd love those gargoyles.
Ahahahahahahahahahahaha.*snort*Life could not be so great.
Oooooh. That is excellent.
Upfist for grandement.

She neglected to inherit $400 mil. Oh, and Chuck is still alive.

A grifter's gotta grift
Is EXACTLY what I was thinking.
If he delivers outcomes like the ones above, *I'll* start paying for it.
Grifters, grifters, there were never such devoted grifters . . .
He'll want to move the convention to a Trump venue.
Well, to be sure, it's stupid people paying them for lectures and books and snake oil. I would HOPE it's not any government entity.

Would someone please indulge my ignorance and explain this whole lending money to himself?
That would only deepen her fashionable scowl.
