One takes a waste bucket, pours a bottle of sweet sherry, a bottle of gin, a pint of kahlua and a half cup of root beer in it, stuffs one's head all the way in and stir vigorously, then inhale all of it though one's nose...
Perhaps not, but it's the best shot there is. The non-crazies may be able to disrupt the crazies from taking over the party, but they really have to start by stopping Trump from ever seeking office again. If they do he probably won't give a shit about the party any more and without his support the crazies are going to find it difficult.
Well, I agree that getting Trump barred from office would probably cool his ardor a bit, and it would (in theory) stop him from using the "I'm running for office, give me money" grift.* It's just that there's so many crazies embedded in the party already, plus their base has been completely separated from objective reality, so crazy is what they respond to. I'm just not convinced they aren't pretty much locked into a future of increasingly fringe candidates and policies. I think Republicans that aren't big on crazy are going to have to just build a new party from near-scratch.
*I say "in theory" because Trump is so welded to creating his own version of reality that I can easily see him insisting that his ban on office holding (if he gets one) will be lifted Any Day Now and so he'll be Presidentin' again before you know it.

It's extremely rare for a state to add or subtract seats in their Legislatures. The lines move when redistricting happens.
I think we may be too far along that trajectory already. I'm not sure barring Trump from office will disrupt it.

Yeah, most of the decent jobs I've gotten in the last 25 years (including the one I'm in now, which is great) have been through temp agencies.
