Additional plug for M.R. Dimond's books, which I discovered last year, right here at the Wonkbazaar! This is what a diverse caring community with good boundaries looks like (the detectives, not the criminals :-). Bought them all, love them all. Hope the new one comes out in a print edition soon :-)

I would like - if I may - to drop a couple links of my own in the mix. I've started playing around with tshirt designs here:

https://www.etsy.com/shop/DakiniDesignCo

And I've got my handmade felt ornaments and a few other crafty bits up at

https://www.etsy.com/shop/TheeFaerieRing

And my actual formal website can be found at

I appreciate your consideration!

It's "Small Business Saturday" and Imma goin' shopping for loved ones. Local gifts help my local economy. And if they don't have it, Imma goin' to shop Wonkette businesses. I have purchased from spacepig press before, and can attest that their cards for all occasions are great! I have far flung family and friends, and sometimes I want to put a card into the package to hold all of my sentiments and well wishing. spacepig press to the rescue!

Thanks for the Amanda Gorman/Joy Harjo post for Thanksgiving. I purchased Gorman books for poetry lovers in my life in the recent past, and now I'm on a mission to find Harjo poetry for them this year. I envy those who got to take a class from her!

I've spent so much money at Etsy and I love it. I'm not crafty but if I can think it, I can find it at Etsy. Some examples: a dog Halloween wreath, dog Christmas cards (added bonus-a donation to a humane society with my purchase!), dogs in ghost costumes Halloween t-shirts that are sosososo cute. They have much more than dog stuff, I'm just a dog nut.

Replying to myself: I've never had a bad experience with Etsy and I feel good about buyng from small businesses.

I've shopped a few Etsy stores over the years and have also had nothing but great experiences – from antique jewelry to custom made costume items to pottery planters. Everything was wonderful.

Holler Health Justice's preserve abortion rights mug is a winner. Meccalopolis forgot his to-go cup in the car and promised to return the mug undamaged. He did. Had he hurt it, he'd have bought me another.

Yay, such talented artists and I'm proud to be among them. We are all on the right side of history, too.

I'm very grateful to Wonkette for the chance to show off my stuff! Thank you so much, Rebecca.

P.S. More coming soon. It's gifty season!

I had tabbed an article in the Globe on Monday regarding the Covid wastewater testing. (starting to rise again). Just finished reading and it said:

"Starting Monday, every home in the United States became eligible to order four additional free at-home tests — for a total of eight per household — from the federal government at www.covid.gov/tests."

OHJB wants people to have more tests as we go into the holidays. Commie.

"‘What the heck is going on?’ Extremely high-energy particle detected falling to Earth

• Amaterasu particle, one of highest-energy cosmic rays ever detected, is coming from an apparently empty region of space

https://www.theguardian.com/science/2023/nov/24/amaterasu-extremely-high-energy-particle-detected-falling-to-earth

Empty space: "I got tired of being called 'empty.' Don't make me deliver death by neutrino, because I will."

Sister Artemis's avatar

I initially read "amateur particle" and was all, what's up with the domination of professional particles these days? give aspirational particles a chance, will ya?

Maybe a hole in the magnetosphere?

It blows my mind that lightning is so destructively powerful that neutrinos leap off the bolts *within the envelope of the atmosphere.*

My dumb farmboy ass goes inside when I hear thunder.

“That particle is extremely high energy. Sad!”

Life forms in that "empty" region of space: "Those fools on that bluegreen planet are getting closer to penetrating our cloaking shields. Engage pre-emptively!"

Teen Laqueefa's avatar

I recently read if aliens are out there they are microscopic robots and live in the coldest regions of space because it conserves energy and they'll need it to blow us up when they're damn good and ready.

OK, I made up the last part because of every sci fi movie ever.

Not sure about GBOAT, but I also love that song.
