As it was practiced the 1960s, "urban renewal" was basically a series of projects that gutted and destroyed urban neighborhoods. That particular road to hell was well-paved.

I make the degree symbol so many times I don't even know the number, just the motion my hand makes. Same way with people's extensions at work. It's all shapes and muscle memory.

For the record though, most carrion birds have beaks that are too weak to tear through the thick skins of large herbivores. So when they come onto a fresh, intact carcass, they use the softest available points of entry to reach the nutritious stuff inside.
