With good reason. This is too close for comfort when it shouldn’t be. And many of us still have 2016 ptsd.

Like 2016 there are warning signs that shouldn’t be ignored. It can come down to a few thousand votes in a handful of states.

And like 1968, an out of touch establishment isn’t listening to its base

Be over confident and complacent at your own risk

The other news is, Indiana's 7th district (Indianapolis) voted for a deceased lady in the GOP primary.

Gawd I hate this red fucking state. I was born here and when I left it was not this stupid red hee haw hell. I've since moved back to care for my mom and this shit burns my ass to the ground.

RNC Delegates -- most of the orange moron's family. Barron is now fair game due to dear old dad.

In a family full of politically involved children, Barron Trump, who turned 18 in March, has retained much more of a private life than his older brothers, Eric Trump and Donald Trump Jr., both of whom will also be Florida at-large RNC delegates, along with Trump’s daughter Tiffany.

Others include Kimberly Guilfoyle, Donald Trump Jr.’s fiancée; Michael Boulous, Tiffany Trump’s husband; former state Attorney General Pam Bondi, a longtime Trump ally who has run pro-Trump super PACs; longtime Trump adviser Sergio Gor; former Marvel Entertainment Chairman Ike Perlmutter, a prominent Trump donor; and a series of state-level Republican politicians who took the risk of endorsing Trump over DeSantis.

Yeah decades of one party rule have made this state a real shithole yet no one connects the dots that it’s the republicans fault Democrats hold no statewide offices and less than 20% of all elected offices

Trump is going to have to spend his paltry campaign funds on recovering those voters, and his trials.

The rest, I presume, will be priming the grift pump for MAGA. In no way is he attempting to find new voters.

Worth noting that the weather in Indiana was not great yesterday either. Tornados. The folks who came out to vote in that weather meant business.

I bet Haley eats this shit up. She's smart and positioning herself for after the dotard is in prison to be the face of the "New Republican Party" even if she is a right wing asshole. It's a pro move keeping her mouth shut like she is.

BlueStateLibel's avatar

Yeah, that's a protest vote, but the media is too biased to call it out. That should have been a big story, especially as this isn't the first time Haley had got such a big vote.

The fact that about one in five republicans would rather have a nonwhite woman than Trump is not good news for him.

Turnout was something like 15%. It was really low. No one was at the polling locations. Was able to get in and out in 5 mins

There is a new organization in Indiana called recenter. Their mission is that because the Democratic Party is non existent the only way for democrats to affect any policy is to vote for the more “moderate” republicans and against the crazies

Says a lot about the state of both parties in Indiana and nothing good

And unfortunately surely the crazies are

Still winning. As did a dead person in the 7th

The democrats left so many spots unchallenged

In the indigo towns - Indianapolis, Purdue, IU, the suburbs of Chicago - the only ballot that matters for local elections is the Dem ballot. So I do not see that happening in those places, which is where all the dems are.

Which unfortunately is not nearly enough to offset the huge Republican advantages in Indiana

The problem for democrats in Indiana is they have scant few candidates to vote for. They leave over half the seats unchallenged

Republicans ratfuxk the Democratic primary all the time in Indiana.

Turnout was so low this time any rf-ing would have been minimal

I'm convinced RFK Jr is eating Trumps votes and not Biden's. This brain worm (let's name him Rocky) could toss all the antivaxxers back to trump. Hopefully the dummies believe him when he tells them that his brain has healed and is better then before.

Tea bagger Stutzman won the 3rd district race for traitor banks seat over religious nutcases Smith and Davis and normal pro business Republican Bucher

So even if Trump has trouble wingnuttiness is still alive and well in Indiana
