Trump Tower Suing Guy It Killed In A Fire
It's like if Dick Cheney had sued the old man he shot in the face.
Donald Trump "built" Trump Tower before sprinklers were required in New York City; then he lobbied against them. Earlier this year, when an electrical fire killed Todd Brassner, who'd lived in Trump Tower since 1996, Trump said -- well, he said nothing, actually, except to brag that the building, which had just killed a man due to overloaded electric boards, was "well built."
Now Trump Tower's condo board is suing Todd Brassner, who, again, is wrongfully dead due to (presumable) negligence on the part of Trump Tower, for not paying his common fees since he died.
(Okay, to be fair, he owed $52,000 in condo fees before he died -- he tried to sell the condo he could no longer afford, but couldn't give away a "Trump Tower" condo for love or money -- but the fees have grown in the six months since to $64,000. Yes, they're still assessing fees on his estate for "common fees" for the building that killed him.)
Nothing is sure in life except death and condo fees, we guess, because you know it ain't fucking taxes.
