I belong to the Congressional Federal Credit Union and see an interior shot of the dome every time I whip out my VISA card. Cashiers occasionally ask me about it. It's so pretty.
I remember seeing the repaired, and restored to luster, statue of Freedom being lowered back to the dome on TV by a Sikorsky CH-54 heavy lift helicopter in 1993. She had received 750 patches and plugs and had been polished and coated for protection.
Tini is not doing gifs on her vacay, but she said she would drop by this week to visit us. It's next week that she's neither doing TABS nor promising to check in (but she might, but she thinks it won't be easy)
Not that I was complaining, you understand, but I seem to recall from my management days that working during vacay is quintuple time on your time sheet.
I'm going go way out on the edge of the envelope and say that I'm a tiny bit sick of Beyonce. Breaking into country? What for? Tracy Chapman blew that one out of the water. Is this some sort of "reach out" thing? If so, to whom? Please, correct me if I'm wrong.
The things that will kill this notion: if an embryo is a 'child' then insurance companies have to pay for problems with mother and embryo, and embryo is a dependent on tax returns.
I've been saying that PAB is gonna have problems ponying up all the money for those civil penalties he's earned* because he's leveraged up to his eyebrows. I just realized that his problem is worse than that. Now that the true value of his properties is being established, he's probably under water. Like, Marianas Trench deep under water.
* Oh yes, he FAed, now he FOs. And he's earned it.
I am probably an outlier, but I think 16 Carriages is boring and repetitive, and Texas Hold Em is also quite repetitive and monotonous but with some added pop. This probably means they're perfect country songs and (if the stations play 'em) she'll win awards for them.
1. This is Day 1205 of...President Joe Biden? I guess. Some idiot has posted "HOLD THE LINE: DAY____" for however long I've been subjecting myself to the idiocies of that board. 1,205 days ago was 11/2/2020 and the 2020 election on 11/3/2020. Who knows, maybe the HOLD THE LINE moron is 15 hours ahead of us? Anyway, this cretin performs numerology every single day. Nothing new to report, just amazed that someone could keep that up this long
2. "General" Mike Flynn shouted out a HAPPY PRESIDENT'S DAY message on X and twice in it he said that PAB is the current president. We all know he isn't but if you believe he is, then you have to believe that he's barred from serving a third term. So why, in the same message, does "General" Flynn urge everyone to vote for PAB this year? I need some aspirin, my head is hurting
3. These fools have just now realized that PAB has to put up a lot of cash if he wants to appeal any of the numerous judgments levied against him. They are absolutely bananas over this and when one of their lesser-stupid members points out that putting up cash/collateral for an appeal bond is normal, they go even crazier. One dude thinks PAB should level all his New York properties and give the rubble in payment of his judgments.
Hi hi, today’s hed gif comes from the Architects of the Capitol, restoring the Capitol Dome. Their interesting vid from the work they completed a few years back is linked from here: https://open.substack.com/pub/martiniambassador/p/in-celebration-of-the-us-capitol
Oh, well, safe journey... ;>)

I hope you tell those cashiers thank you, but that you're not at liberty to discuss it.
"You may think that but I couldn't possibly comment."
Should I start working up some gifs to fill in for vacation time?

Ummm, staycation?
Nah, I’m traveling. 🧳 Today is a packing day.
HiHi!
Love this morning's gif
Architects of the Capitol is totally my death metal gamelan fusion trio
Hey, that's where Tza works!
I was thinking ‘bout Tza when I was putting this together. I have a bit of job envy!
I hadn't previously noticed your Presidents Day reworking of Mount Rushmore. It's adorbs.
Oh gosh, I wish I could take credit for that, but I simply reposted from something I found in the Web. It *is* cute, though, I agree. 🙂
Thought you were on vacay?
Tini is not doing gifs on her vacay, but she said she would drop by this week to visit us. It's next week that she's neither doing TABS nor promising to check in (but she might, but she thinks it won't be easy)
I am, but today I had time to check in. 😉
😘
Not that I was complaining, you understand, but I seem to recall from my management days that working during vacay is quintuple time on your time sheet.
Your visits are always welcome.
Black female Country and Western Hip-Hop singer?
Charlie Pride on Line 1.
Also, too, Ray Charles.

"[M]ade the tech industry bigwigs all go bugfuck — like the second he got power — and how they “gave up their dignity [to him] for nothing.”"
Objection! Assumes they had dignity not in evidence.
I saw Sweeney Todd in NYC with original cast members, Len Cariou and Angela Lansbury. Fab show. So. much. stage. blood.
The things that will kill this notion: if an embryo is a 'child' then insurance companies have to pay for problems with mother and embryo, and embryo is a dependent on tax returns.
And mother can be prosecuted for child abuse for anything that happens to embryo
They're already doing that, though.
Buy a life insurance policy on the embryo to cover court costs. This is beyond stupid anyway.
IVF is dead in that state... if an IVF provider lets an embryo "die" due to any accident, they could now face manslaughter, murder, assault charges.
Why aren't we covering the BIG news of the day, the Tate & Lyles Golden Syrup rebranding?
Wait? Wut? Is it now to be Lyle & Tate's?
They undeadified the lion, and reduced the bees to one.

It's a good change. That dead lion was a bit off-putting...
>>> “What did you have for dinner last night,” asked Evan’s trainer, who holds him accountable. “Oh just some spinach thing,” lied Evan.
LOL!
Evan can come to my house where we can have pasta carbonara (but only on Sunday cos I gave up meat for Lent)
Doc's post about EV rules is set to comments only for paid subscribers?
Fixed! You have to unclick a button, and apparently when I was editing it, I didn't unclick it hard enough.
Servicey!

GMTA.
As it happens, my SIL and her sister recently saw both Sweeney Todd and Hadestown.
(The benefits of living in NYC (and day-trip distance), and being able to do off-peak-hours shows.)

What is spanakopita pasta and why?
I mean, I love pasta, really love pasta, but it can't compete with wrapping something in phyllo dough.
The Greeks knew that, which is almost certainly why they landed all over Italy to try to stop those heathens.
Hell, I could probably wrap what's in my compost bin in phyllo and it would be DELICIOUS.
Sorry, I read that as "spankatopia pasta" and the resulting mental rabbit hole renders me unable to reply more coherently than this.
If you build that recipe...oh never mind.
The star ingredient in spanakopita is spinach, isn't it? I've made pasta dishes featuring spinach, mascarpone, and capers that came out quite good.

IIRC: It's "General Flynn Bitch".
Those last terms are acceptable.
Elon Musk's X temporarily suspended Navalny's widow's account.
Must be one of those free speech thingies he's always going on about.
Evidently he heard His Master's Voice.
That seems VERY on brand for that sanctimonious pissbaby.
Lol.
Dingus from stupid TV show says the AG should investigate him for fraud too!
