Rudy also says he is going to appeal the defamation verdict and fight Moss and Freeman in court if they try to put the liens they are legally entitled to on his sad little portfolio."
It's a bold strategy, Cotton. Let's see if it works out for him!
His trustee could have moved to deny his discharge, which would then have left him subject to that trustee liquidating his assets while he got no benefit of being relieved of his debts at the end. Freeman and Moss could have (if they already haven't) moved to lift the bankruptcy stay to foreclose their judgment on specific properties in the meantime. He could also have been held in contempt and had his ol pals the SDNY U.S. Marshals LOCK HIM UP for not complying with the orders to turn over records.
From what I saw today, Trump and the R's are going on a charm offensive. "We should all just get along" etc. Whether he can keep his naturally occurring bile from spilling out and derailing the narrative is anyone's guess... but the media will probably let them have it both ways
The picture of him with the defiant raised fist and bloodied face will be used extensively to promote his "tough guy" act, "Trump jumps right up after being shot while Biden stumbles at the debate" will be the message. Will it work? Who knows?
Overplay is the key word. He's going to pretend that the registered Republican in a militia T-shirt who shot him was an agent of Biden's. Good luck with that, chump. And I wonder about his rallies in the future. This happened in the heart of Trump Country; he could scarcely have had a friendlier crowd, and one of them tried to kill him. That has to wear him down.
I did get a very nice email from Carole King, who affirms her support for OHJB. (She didn't ask for a contribution until the very end, but I've already given twice in the past 2 weeks). I always did like her music.
"Hi, Leanne, it’s Carole King 🎶 and I personally wrote this email.
Joe Biden is wise and experienced, and he loves his country more than his ego. Joe is running to beat a wannabe dictator so he can continue to help people of good will achieve their aspirations.
Judges on Friday decided against halting Williams’ execution despite a St. Louis County court hearing set for Aug. 21 to determine whether he is innocent.
Williams had asked the Supreme Court to stay his execution pending the outcome of the August hearing. He faces execution Sept. 24. Judges ruled that they do not have the procedural authority to withdraw the execution order at this time.

I hope they take it all. Keep finding out, Roodles!

He got off easy.

It's way too easy to game the bankruptcy system. But also no stomach to rewrite it.
But I was pleased to see the Sacklers caught out. Sometimes, bad as it is, it sort of works.
Glad he wasn’t killed. Was really close. I think that would have been a complete disaster for everyone.
Also if anyone thinks this helps him in the election I doubt it for a couple reason.
1. It’s not going to make people suddenly love him.
2. He’s going to overplay it just like everything else
Again, glad he is still alive. Sorry for the victims.

A twenty-year-old white male with an AR-15 takes a shot at Chump, and the entire right blames women and DEI.
I need him to die in prison, to see the law sentence him.
Take heart. Since when has this country taken a shooting seriously? Maybe Kennedy.

honestly he will never shut the fuck up about this.

I can't wait to see PAB at a rally with a big orange Band-Aid on his ear.
Maybe I'm just a snark at heart and it has been a rough two weeks, but after today I just thought, "Atleast we can stop talking about the debate" 😬
Just yesterday, a Youtuber was talking about how PAB wasn't in the limelight since there was too much focus on Biden.
Accounts from people at the Pab rally-

Bookends
AP reporting nine minutes ago that an AR-style rifle was recovered near the shooting scene.
Maybe it’s true, maybe not, but remember when we banned those fuckers for 10 years?
Maybe PAB should live at Rikers and conduct rallies there- for his own safety.
One month and five days until sentencing…
Bonus- doing so now can count as time served.
The movie is over if you'd like to join us there for OT.

One of my favorite Paul Simon songs. Melody inspired by J.S. Bach.

Fuck yeah, Carol! She's in my regular rotation
Nice to hear about today's event in PA from Beau's perspective.

I'd like to say that's unbelievable, but...
