Where does the NYT finds these people? Why, in the same swamp that spawned trump and Kavanaugh.

Maggie Haberman is certainly spending a lot of time with the First Daughter these days, because it shows in her special little offended diction that has made me upset with myself even, for laughing out loud when I read Lauren Duca who's an extremely funny woman who should write about thigh boots as much as she wants or, edit Foreign Affairs, or whatever.

What are these NYT editors and reporters? Zombies is the only thing I can come up with that is so passionately indifferent. Just give em some flesh. They sit there on these talk shows and you can tell they share a world view or a Burrough View that is like someone making an extra effort to extinguish their cigarette as a huge meteorite heads for the Yucatán. Then someone asks did you turn off the coffee maker?

Teen Vogue does seem to be one of the few places one can find journalism these days.

Susan Collins will persuade herself that everything is just fine with Trump's Supreme Court nominee. This is her pattern when dealing with Repub atrocities.

The paragraph that begins “We guess what Maggie Haberman is saying is...” is maybe the single most succinct yet simultaneously totally encompassing critique of the shit hole that the New York Times has become that this tourist has ever perused, and I have perused a lot. If there is a Pulitzer for mommyblogs, somebody get the nominating committee on the blower, please.

You know, I haven’t been invited to any dinners or parties on Martha’s Vinyard, either! (sniff)

Why haven’t I been interviewed by the New York Times?

She is an African-American woman and a Democrat, so obviously she was promoting violence by existing.

But when a white, conservative man running for president openly encourages racism and violence, we must go out to the “Heartland” and interview Trump supporters to find the source of their “economic anxiety.”

Where were these morons when Hillary Clinton was being accused of running a child-sex ring or when Christians were praying for Obama’s death?

you know, I never was a Dr Who fan, for the simple reason that it was on before Monty Python on our PBS channel on Saturday nights. So as a pre-teen, I had it planned perfectly: SNL for about 15 minutes, MP was on at 11:45 or so. But of course sometimes something earlier would run long, which would push everything else back. And I knew nothing about the whole story of Dr Who in the 70's. I just thought it was stupid. FF to the 21st century when I got satellite. BBC America is like the station I watch all the time. And sometimes I watch 15-20 minutes of Dr Who, for no other reason than because. And it's DT and Billie Piper, and I like the stories and I read on the interwebs about some of the stuff and the backstory. But seriously, he is the only Dr I have ever watched. I think he's great. And to finish the story, I had a GF who was a big fan, and when Torchwood first came out, I actually watched that, coming into it as a someone who didn't know any of this backstory. And then I mentioned it to her later on and she knew nothing about it, so I was proud I knew something about Dr Who she didn't (we hadn't been dating at the time when I first came across it), and she was hooked.

It doesn't matter. The appearance of Trump bashing the media is what plays to his howler-monkey base.
