Ta, Robyn. May he be tried, convicted, and imprisoned. No more guns and no more voting for this fast-food loving asshole.

Just been arrested? After so long? With evidence floating around that he was there for about as long?

How many more of them are out there still walking free after their insurrection attempt?

Enough to send a message that these things don't really have consequences that you can't walk away from?

So why did it take three years for him to get arrested? His face had been on various news shows because of his "protests" and it mentions he was boasting on social media about his envolvement. In fact with his history of intruding on retail establishments to protest crap for MAGA, it seems like he would have been flagged as a possible rioter even before they linked him to a face in the mob, basically profiling him as possibly involved. But he was able to hang out at home for three years.

I think that it comes down to a couple of things. First, they needed to go after and convict the Proud Boys, Oath Keepers etc. to really chop the head off of the most dangerous and organized groups, and doing that required lots of man-hours to create a slam dunk case that would result in long sentences. Then the lower tier asshats were next as that made it easy to gain convictions, if you look at how many just pleaded guilty instead of fighting the charges you can see that it was a good strategy. Even so, there are X number of attorneys working for the DOJ and each one of those cases had days if not weeks of work that went into gathering the evidence, drawing up the paperwork, appearing in court, negotiating the plea deals and finishing up with the judge - so that all took time.

As to this moron and his ilk, I think they have carefully meted out prosecutions to publicly known protesters on a timetable that allowed one prosecutorial announcement every so often so as to keep the process in the public eye and also to make those who haven't been charged yet always wondering when it was their turn.

That's the first thing I thought: Three YEARS?!?!?!?!?

If it had been a BLM protest, they would have rounded up everyone within three WEEKS. And not a few of them would have been killed in custody.

Truckers would use empty Gatorade bottles to relieve themselves on the road, because the wide mouths let them take care of business without stopping. Those doing regular runs through Ohio always saved their full bottles until they got there. They'd heave them out the window, up over the truck, to land on the berm and in the ditch as protests for what they thought were overly restrictive regulations on trucks by the state.

The bottles were called Trucker Bombs.

It's amazing that someone can be so suburban that the only public venues or services they can think of to protest at are casual dining chains.
