They have been taught by the campaign that you can't trust those giving opposite facts, so when those facts are now proven they simply claim that 'the elites' are distorting the information. If Trump is arrested it will be because Mueller et al is falsifying the evidence. Likewise if Britain is poorer after Brexit it WILL be (we are already being told this) because we are being punished by the EU - They had the chance to give us what we wanted (the 'Cake' philosophy) but they did not do so because they wanted to punish us.
