Thanks, I had thought I heard their last execution was 1937, turns out to have been 1977. Chapeau!

The NUMBERS show 10%-20% in maximum security, Federal & State, which means 80%-90% aren't.

Hey there - what's your plan for telling people where you went to college? Pre DuhSantis or "that was some other UF"?

A couple of my friends, here in a state where it's legal, were terminally ill and picked their own day. One family member who apparently really needed to talk told me that it was a near-instant coma.

I find a lot of people that want Trump to get the death penalty (although for what?). Bu they would just make him a martyr.I think he need to be sent to Guantanamo for life, in solitary.

DO Not get your info on prisons from movies. Iowa, for example, has 1 prison where inmates are known to get violent, but 8 others that are pretty mellow. 2 1/2 years in the system, and the only fight he saw was caused by an inmate who stopped taking his meds. So, approx. 1400 inmates in maximum security, 7000 in medium/low security facilities.

My youngest thought that county jail sucked, but state prison at a medium security facility was better than being a boot at MCRD, San Diego. The vast majority of any state's prison population isn't in a maximum-security facility.
