THAT's key here! Because these "colleges" have no accreditation, if the school fails the students get to keep their debt but little else.

Many of these very expensive classes for certificate programs are also available at local community colleges for little cost. If we want to get people back to work in this country, we should be putting money into community colleges that teach classes that lead to jobs.

But community colleges don't have the market budgets that these scam schools have.

Isn't it at least mildly amusing the "conservative" Republicans think they are going to take over the US of A this November and they can't even win an election in Mississippi?

They'll have to pad their resumes by including something with more respectability than one of their degrees. Like a felony conviction.

More of this, please. Those for-profit <strike>colleges</strike> scam artists, sucking tax dollars away from genuine, needed programs, are the slimiest. Furthermore, what's really criminal are the poor, dumb kids that end up with no education and huge debt.

For profit colleges are people too, my friend. Shitty, scammy people devoid of ethics.

In this case, enforcement takes the form of withholding funds. Corinthian couldn't go a month without a steady stream of taxpayer money.

Yeah, they might actualy go a get a <em>real</em> education now rather than just throw money down the for-profit hole.

How can a freedom loving free market job creating business operate if the federal government cuts off the largest source of its revenue?
