I was a CNA in a nursing home when the show had its heyday, once we had the residents bedded for the night we would gather in the room of one of the unresponsive patients and watch. That was maybe a bit unethical.
If they could guarantee the money only went to poor white folks before it trickled up to the store owners and farmers... The voters that wanna kick poor single mothers and the marginalized love the thought, that's why they vote GOP.
Yeah, it's demented for Republicans to insist on Trump's over ten trillion in 'tax cuts' and free money to the ultra rich and then whine a Dem does better paying for it without hurting enough poor people and America over it. While screaming blue murder they might not get away with enough tax cheating.
