Hey, Marceline! Haven't seen you around here much lately. :)

I have no idea how she's put up with this fucking unending torrent of shitheadedness without ripping somebody's head off. I admire her so fucking much for her self-control in the face of such idiocy.

I don't the part that called her "a little icky." I think she's fucking wonderful.

Sounds reasonable. I haven't watched TV news of any kind since at least HS and still manage to keep fairly up-to-date, I think.

Probably due to the fact his site is now not his own. It was bought by ESPN, a portion of the Disney corporate empire. That's why 538 has so many sports articles and why Silver now needs employees to write many of the articles. Silver invented his methodology to predict baseball games and ESPN wanted to own it to use it in sports contests. So yes, I'm sure clicks are a major need now. I've never read what ESPN paid Silver for the brand, but it had to have been a lot. Plus they've invested heavily in expanding it.

I used to watch them because they were more timely and comprehensive than the networks' brief news programs. Now they have all morphed into entertainment sites pitching their content to one demographic or another. Now they're even more useless than the major networks.

If you really want to be outraged, read the comments to the Yahoo news feed. The major morans appear to get their news from Yahoo. (I guess they identify with the name.)

That explains it. Thank you. I wondered what had changed because something clearly did.
