I used to teach in a Florida university, I left because of Republicans ten years ago. I’m back on the job market and Florida is now (still) a no go. Sad for them.

Do all billionaires need people around them to swat their hands away from hot stoves? Because it feels like they might.

Any compromise between "more rights for marginalized people" and "fewer rights for marginalized people" ends up with fewer rights for marginalized people.

"I voted for Obama" is the new version of "I have a black friend".

By the standards of today's GOP, Reagan and Goldwater would be considered radical leftists, Rockefeller a socialist and Eisenhower a card carrying commie. Hell, I think they'd find John Birch to be "left leaning"

I will never be able to understand how a foppish guy from NYC who wears makes up, a fashion wig. and oversized pink silk ties, who has never gone hunting or fishing, never even owned a shotgun or a dog, who hangs out with fashio0n models, was able to become the standard of American "maleness" and adored by rednecks and hillbillies. You'd think he would be the picture of someone they despise. Truly bizarre
