Here’s the problem with the dangerous era Trumpism ushered into American politics. Conservatives “don’t know how Republicans actually impeach the president” with so little evidence turned up by Comer. WTF. You don’t start with impeachment and then hope to find some basis for it. Impeachment must be a last resort, a final, regrettable decision made by a bipartisan body after a potus has committed a crime or abused power. And “abused power” doesn’t mean “does things we don’t like and has values different than ours.” Earlier last year, Comer, when asked by Fox News if he had enough actual evidence to impeach the potus, replied “I hope so!” I’ll never forget that. It so succinctly sums up the GOP and their shameful agenda. Any serious politician with integrity should answer that question “I sure hope not. America should never have a President guilty of such high crimes as to be impeached. So I hope not, for all of us.” But they simply want a pound of flesh, to exact petty, spiteful revenge for Trump being impeached twice. No wonder Americans have lost faith in Congress.
